About The Shot

First, the 5 ball squeezes past the 3 ball into the side pocket. Second, the cue ball draws back to make the 1 ball. And third, the 3 ball banks 3 rails, reversing direction on the way, to find the far side pocket as well after the 1 ball is gone.

Three Rail Squeeze

Make This Shot

I start by placing the 5 ball four ball widths out from the side rail with its inside edge even with the point of the side pocket.

Align the 3-5 combination back towards the point of the far side pocket.

I like to have the cue ball behind the long center line of the table. Aim to shoot the 5 ball about 1/2 way between the side pocket and where the 5-3 line is aimed with tons of draw. The 3 ball may have issues on certain tables if the rail's aren't grabbing the spin.

Tim's Tidbit

I first saw a video of Chao Fong Pang shooting a version of this shot, but without the draw.
