In this shot, I cram an object ball in to the corner and draw back 3 cushions around the table hitting the rack and pocketing the hanging object ball.
Difficulty: Advanced
The setup is easy. The first object ball is placed frozen to the short cushion, one diamond away from the corner pocket. The cue ball is one ball's width away. Just remove the middle ball in the picture (Figure 1). For my version, place another object ball hanging in the corner and freeze the rack to it. You can angle the rack for your tendency to come up short or long.
I start with my cue over the first diamond on the long rail going through the center of the cue ball. Then I add as much draw as I can with a tip or so of right english. The exact combination can change depending on the cloth conditions. Hit as far out as you can without miscuing. Keep pushing the limits. The real key is to be able to do it in total control because you have to stroke hard and fast too. If you scratch in the side, aim more into the short rail (move your cue to the further from the corner pocket you're leaning over) and use more draw. You can also aim more parallel to the short rail and use more right english to help get you around the table.
This is one of Mike "Tennessee Tarzan" Massey's signature shots. Eric "The Preacher" Yow added the rack to make this shot more complete on its own.
