About The Shot

Four balls are in a straight line by the side pocket. The cue ball splits up the line with each ball going in a different pocket and then the cue ball banks of one rail and pockets a 5th ball in yet another pocket!

Make This Shot

Here's how to set up this trick shot. Line up the 1-4 balls by the side pocket. The edge of the 1 ball is even with the edge of the cushion and notice it's behind the centerline of the table. I like to use a rack to make sure they're all straight. You can also angle this slightly so the line is actually aimed at the point of the side pocket, depending on the throw on the 4 ball. (Figure 1)

The cue ball is positioned as shown in the picture above, about 1 diamond back and aligned with the 3-4 tangent line. Aim for the 2-3 intersection with 1/2 tip of draw to start. Adjust the cue ball path with the amount of draw or speed.
